During refueling, volatile organic compound (VOC) fumes are emitted into the atmosphere and form harmful ground level ozone that can cause pollution. To address this problem, many European countries have passed regulations limiting the amount of vapours that can be released at petrol stations. Dresser Wayne helps meet these mandatory standards. Our Stage II Vapour Recovery Systems (VRS) are designed to capture the vapours that escape as customers refuel their vehicles.

Our Stage II VRS solution has been approved under European directives and technical standards including the ATEX Directive and by the Weights & Measures Laboratory so retailers have the confidence of knowing their vapour recovery system meets regulations. Plus, Dresser Wayne offers Vapor Gate, an optional automatic monitoring system to control the flow rate and V/L ratio. If the vapour recovery function is not working properly , automated alerns will be sent to site management and the dispenser will shut down until the system is recalibrated.
